🌟 Amazing things are happening at Olga Brener Intermediate! 👍
The students recently had an awesome opportunity to participate in Data Chats with their classroom teachers. The Data Chats allowed students to reflect on their learning and growth from the beginning of the year and set new goals for themselves.
Students just finished taking the i-Ready Diagnostic for the middle of the year and they have every reason to celebrate. They achieved their goals and we are thrilled to announce that we have seen some remarkable growth in both reading and math! We can't wait to see what great things the students will achieve next. 💯✅ #ShawanoProud
Check out the results from the Shawano Girls Wrestling Invite tournament! Shawano girls placed 3rd out of 34 other teams! 🥉
Way to go! We are so #ShawanoProud! 👏
📚📖 Brener students and their friends cozied up with some thrilling reading material for Cozy Up and Read that was rescheduled due to a snow day. And that's not all - we had some special guests join us from law enforcement, public safety, and corrections.
The students were thrilled to ask them all sorts of questions about their careers and couldn't get enough of their fascinating stories. It was an action-packed day that everyone will remember! #ShawanoProud
This past Saturday we had a musical feast for the ears courtesy of the Shawano Jazz I and Jazz II who competed at the Purdue Jazz Festival! 🎶🔥
Jazz I competed against 11 other bands and took 2nd in their room. Tristan Tetting was named one of the two outstanding soloists in our room for the entire day.
Jazz II played extremely well in their room and took 8th out of 13 2nd bands, most of which come from schools at least twice our size.
Go Hawks! 🌟🤩 #ShawanoProud
🎉 Congratulations to students in Mrs. Franti's NWTC Word 1 class for passing the industry certification exam for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS). 💻
An individual earning this certification has approximately 150 hours of instruction and hands-on experience with the product, has proven competency at an industry entry level, and is ready to enter the job market.
Students at SCHS have the opportunity to earn a Business Software Essentials certification from NWTC and multiple MOS certifications. Way to go! 👍 #ShawanoProud

🌟 Elevating Positive Behavioral Support at Hillcrest and Olga Brener Elementary Schools! 🚀
Yesterday, our passionate Elementary PBIS teams gathered to collaborate, organize, and chart a course toward even greater support for our students! 📊💙
What's on Our Agenda?
✨ Proactive Approaches: We delved into proactive strategies, gearing up to create an environment that nurtures positive behaviors from the start.
🤝 Strategic Responses: Addressing situations where behaviors are a concern, we discussed effective and supportive responses to ensure the well-being of our students.
🌐 Universal Layers of Support: Exploring the diverse needs of our students, we reaffirmed our commitment to providing universal layers of support that benefit every child in our vibrant community.
🌈 Individualized Support: Recognizing the uniqueness of each student, we brainstormed ways to tailor support, ensuring that every child receives the attention they deserve.
🔄 Reflecting on Our Practices: Continuous improvement is key! We established a reflective practice to evaluate and refine our approaches, ensuring they evolve with the needs of our dynamic school environment.
Our mission is clear: to foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all our students. Stay tuned as we roll out communication strategies to keep our staff, students, and community informed about our commitment to meeting diverse behavioral needs! 🎉👧🧒📢
